Hello, friendly neighbourhood Frac here. Looking forward to getting started! I usually hide behind the couch when I watch horror movies, but I’ll be brave for this zine.
I was co-head mod for Bad Ritual zine, and I’ve contributed to a few, too. Hoping to make this a smooth (and not scary at all) experience.
EMERALDWAVES—FINANCE MODERATOR*
Hello! I’m Em! I like playing horror games even though I’m a wuss! I’ve moderator a few zines, including Breakaway, Supernova and Ongaku No Kokoro. I’ve been a writer for a few zines as well, including Behind the Scenes, Bad Ritual, Happy Hour and More! As an aspiring ghost hunter, I’m super excited to work on this project!

Hi, I'm Leo! I'm a sucker for all things paranormal. I have been a contributor to four zines during my time in fandom and I have a good chunk of experience editing fics and original works. I hope I can help make your pieces as spooky as possible!

Zine Schedule
About Fright Night
Fright Night! is a set of two zines +merch centered on characters from BNHA in an array of horror settings. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WIDE range OF ART AND FICTION IN THIS ZINE, RANGING ACROSS THE SUB-GENRES. THESE COULD INCLUDE CLASSIC GHOST STORIES, MONSTERS AND DEMONS, GORY SLASHERS AND SERIAL KILLERS, VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES, CULTS AND WITCHES, ECOLOGICAL AND MAN-MADE DISASTERS, PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR AND MUCH, MUCH MORE. IF IT'S SPOOKY, WE'D LOVE TO PRESENT IT!
Based on interest check comments and mod preference, we are an 18+ project.
Contributor's work will be separated into two books:
‣ One perfect-bound, printed book of approximately 70 pages called 'Fright Night'.
‣ One PDF of approximately the same size containing more graphic content called 'Blood Bath'.
Across both projects we will be looking for 25 artists, 10 writers, and 4 merch artists (including guests) to contribute:
‣ The physical zine will be taking 15 artists, 4 merch artists and 5 writers.
‣ The PDF will be taking 10 artists and 5 writers.
Providing we break even, contributors and mods will receive a full bundle as compensation. Any profits made will be halved. One half will be split equally amongst the contributors and mods and the other half will be donated to an international charity voted on by the contributors.
FURTHER INFORMATION
‣ You must be 18+ to participate.
‣ You do not require previous zine experience to apply. We would like to encourage applications from everyone interested, particularly newcomers!
‣ We have a guide of what is appropriate for the physical zine and what will be allocated to the PDF.
‣ You may use characters from the core BNHA series, the movies and Vigilantes.
‣ You must be prepared to make a discord account or already have one for this zine.
‣ Written language used for this zine will be English.
‣ Traditional art is allowed, providing you have an ability to scan the art in at 300dpi and print-quality.
‣ Please make sure you can work with the schedule before applying. We are happy to offer extensions and additional help throughout production, but we will be strict with the final deadline set.
‣ What is shared in the server stays in the server. Any suggestion that a contributor is leaking concepts or screenshots of discussions will be removed from the project without compensation.
‣ No publishing of finished pieces until customers have received their orders (this includes live streaming while working on your pieces). We encourage previews to be published but check with a mod, first.
‣ NSFW topics are to be discussed in the NSFW discord channels only.
‣ Merch artists - all merch created will need to be PG-13.
